Welcome to the Little Red Schoolhouse!
Step into history and charm at our uniquely transformed home—once a school, now a cozy house full of character and memories. As you relax in the living area, take in the original blackboard that still holds traces of its past, including the intriguing date “October 23, 1953” and some old math problems. Please respect the history of this piece by not touching the chalkboard—we’re working hard to preserve it for future guests!
A Legacy of Adventure
See that big red building behind the house? It’s the storage and inspection shop for Adirondack Balloon Flights by SunKiss Ballooning. Fun fact: after this schoolhouse turned into a home, the owners helped Todd chase his hot-air-balloon dream. He launched SunKiss in 2007, and now— as a certified commercial pilot—flies 12-passenger balloons. Together with his brother Scott, he also operates Monahan Airways, known for its playful shapes: a pink unicorn, frog, lion, sloth, and tiger.
The Corner Mayor
As you unwind, you may hear friendly honks or see friendly waves as you relax. That’s because Todd’s stepfather, Milton, was a well-known community figure, fondly referred to as the “Corner Mayor.” He would often sit in the driveway, enjoying the view and the passing cars. Feel free to wave to anyone passing by in his honor!
